Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager runs a portfolio of audit engagements as the operational lead, with the proprietor setting strategy and signing off as the engagement partner under the Standards on Auditing. The role suits a Chartered Accountant who enjoys client interaction, has technical depth in Ind AS and the Companies Act, and wants to build a long term practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, scope and execute statutory and special purpose audits in line with the Standards on Auditing.
• Lead the engagement team, review workpapers and ensure documentation is audit ready.
• Coordinate with management at the audited entity through planning, fieldwork and closure.
• Draft observation memos, management letters and the audit report for proprietor review and sign off.
• Mentor articled assistants and senior associates on technical and soft skills.
• Keep current on ICAI pronouncements and relevant SEBI / Companies Act updates.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant in good standing with the ICAI.
• Four to seven years of post qualification experience in statutory audit, including listed or large private clients.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS, the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI (LODR) Regulations.
• Strong written communication in English.
• Comfort working in audit software and standard audit tools.
